Alexis Trujillo (born 2 March 1990), popularly known as Alex on the Rocks, is a Kuala Lumpur-based Venezuelan Producer and Songwriter, currently signed with OneRpm. He rose to popularity with the release of his debut song La Sola which was followed by Sugar Daddy, one of Trujillo’s most loved compositions. Trujillo is most recognized for his work as a pianist for a number of well-known Venezuelan performers, including Pollo Brito, Euro Nava, and Jorge Glem. He has also collaborated with several other artists including Sibilino, Benavides, Pande Sousa, Enghel, and Guaco to name a few.
Trujillo worked for Peermusic Global, an international record label, and taught at Yamaha Music Venezuela and the National Conservatory of Music Juan Manuel Olivares prior to pursuing his career as an independent musician. He also has extensive expertise as a finance manager, having worked for a number of multinational corporations.
Early life and education
Trujillo was born on 2 March 1990 to Alexis Antonio Trujillo Pacheco and Julia Lucila Pacheco. His father then worked as a contractor and his mother as a healthcare specialist. Trujillo began learning music when he was ten years old and soon began participating in music contests celebrating traditional Venezuelan music.
Trujillo studied music and piano performance at the conservatory of Venezuela José Ángel Lamas and five years later, he moved to the National Conservatory of Music Juan Manuel Olivares, where he earned a degree in Piano Performance and Songwriter. He also studied at the School of Arts of Central University and the Accounting Central University of Venezuela.
Career
Trujillo started his career in 2008 as a piano teacher at Yamaha Music Venezuela and then two years later joined the National Conservatory of Music Juan Manuel Olivares. In 2011, Trujillo signed his first contract with Peermusic Global, a multinational record label where he began to work as a composer and producer. During his time there, Trujillo worked with several prolific Venezuelan artists such as El nigga Sibilino, Benavides, Pandesousa, Enghel, and Guaco, among others.
In 2020, Trujillo decided to focus more on building a career as an independent music artist and released his debut song titled La Sola featuring Benavides which earned over 500k views on YouTube and more than 30k streams. He then went on to release another one of his hit singles titled Sugar Daddy ft. Benavides and Pandesousa. This song received mass acclaim in the industry and was featured in leading media outlets such as People Magazine, and Ronda.
In 2021, Trujillo signed a contract with the music company OneRpm, for the administration and marketing of the musical releases of his music project titled “El Orden.” After releasing his first song - Serial, he reached to position it on MTV base Africa. He has since then released four other singles that have also earned Trujillo industry recognition.
Apart from his career in the music industry, Trujillo has also worked as a Finance Manager for international companies and earned qualification degrees.

Personal life
Trujillo married in 2022 Catherine Cindy in Bali. Cindy works as a Marketing Manager and the couple currently lives in indonesia. He is fluent in Spanish and English.
