Abbas Alabbasi Altaey (Arabic: عباس العباسي الطائي) is a Iranian poet born in 1944 in a village near AlBasatin, from the Province of al-Khafājiyah, 60 km west of Ahvaz. He finished primary and secondary school in the same province and was assigned as a teacher there, then was transferred to the outskirts of Ahvaz. He received his bachelor’s degree in Arabic Literature from the University of Jondishapur (Charman) and then travelled to Egypt to continue his master’s degree at Gameat Al Azhar. When he was preparing his Thesis, the Egyptian authorities forced him to leave Egypt after the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran and he returned to Ahvaz to pursue his higher education. To Altaey poetry flows in sensations and meanings with a lot of ease that sometimes reaches the points of simplicity and that might be brought by intentionally, taking into account the Arabic readers in Khuzestan(Ahvaz). He was in situations for which he was oppressed including social situations, he was known for defending women’s rights and we see that in his poetry, in both “Bride of Fire” (Arabic title:Aros Alnar), “Terrible Silence” (Arabic title:Alsamt Alraheab) and others. In “Salma” a poetic epic, Altaey discussed the reality of the Ahvaz Arab clans Struggles against the British Army that occupied Ahvaz in 1915. The poet and writer took in all kinds of bitterness and cruelty and he measured it and felt it in the suffering of his people and then expressed it in a culture that reflected the Pahlavi racist and oppressive policy of the shah’s that deprived him of the simplest joy, his mother tongue.[1]

His literary works was diverse between Arabic poetry and spoken dialect poetry and his works in the fields of critical and literary studies, and his works in the fields of comparative studies and translation from Persian to Arabic and vice versa[1].[2] It’s:
