Yellow Class is an online platform that offers live and engaging hobby classes curated for children aged 2 to 12 years old. It was founded in June 2020 by Anshul Gupta and Arpit Mittal with the aim to provide community-based online hobby classes to reintroduce childhood to children.[1] It offers a wide variety of classes to kids and is the easiest way to introduce new hobbies to kids. Calligraphy, Dance, Logical Reasoning, GK, English, Personality development are few of the programs through which Yellow Class is helping kids develop their skills and learn while having fun.[2][3][4]

History

Yellow Class was founded in 2020 by Anshul Gupta and Arpit Mittal and is headquartered in Gurgaon, India. It aims to incorporate digitization and offer accessibility to overall skills development activities to the children on the platform.[5][6][7]

Within three months of its inception, Yellow Class also launched a mobile application to expand its reach after getting recognition for its unique concept. This application is compatible with all Android and Apple gadgets including desktops, tablets, and mobile phones. The classes on the app are offered to registered Yellow Class users for free. The app's user interface provides parents with important information on class times, teachers, topics, and other important information at least 48 hours before the session, allowing them to secure the required materials before class.[8]

Since then, the platform is active in over 52 countries with significant audiences from India and the Middle East. Yellow Class offers a vast range of programs ranging from literature, visual art, storytelling, painting, drawing, vocabulary, flameless cooking and other programs.[9][10][11][12]

Funding

In a pre-series A led by India Quotient, Yellow Class raised $1.3 million in funding.[13][14][15] Many angel investors and company founders participated in the fundraising, including Snapdeal's Kunal Bahl and Rohit Bansal, Oyo's Maninder Gulati, and Abhinav Sinha, Bounce's Vivekananda Hallekere, and Xiaomi's Alwin Tse.[16][17][18]
