Yeezy Busta (born 31 July, 1997) is an American YouTube personality. [2] His success began in 2015 on the photo and video sharing platform Instagram[3]. He started a sneaker oriented YouTube channel[4] with a strong focus on real vs. fake education[5] and the Adidas Yeezy Boost[3] in 2016. As of 2020, Yeezy Busta is known for his call outs[6] aka "busts"[7][8] of A-list celebrities[9][10] wearing counterfeit goods, and his reaction based videos. Most of Yeezy Busta's personal life is unknown, as he does not reveal his identity and wears a face mask[11]. As of March 2020, Yeezy Busta's Youtube channel had accumulated 564 thousand subscribers and 34 million views.

Yeezy Busta currently travels worldwide with Sneakercon[12][13] meeting with fans and sneakerheads alike.

Beyond internet entertainment, Yeezy Busta is involved in the fight to stop the sale and production of counterfeit goods[14][15]. He encourages his audience to stay away from counterfeiters that fund things such as terrorism.[14]

Yeezy Busta was born on July 31st, 1997 presumably in Los Angeles, California to immigrant parents.[2] Not much is known about Yeezy Busta's personal life other than that he resides in Los Angeles, California. Yeezy Busta was also a former Medical student[16]. It is unclear however, if he has continued his studies.

Yeezy Busta has released 2 songs titled "Fufu" and "Mask On", both of which were released in 2017.[17][18] They have both collectively fetched 880 thousand plays on YouTube. He has not released any music since but has teased on his social media channels that he my return to making more music.

Other work

In 2018 Yeezy Busta was featured in a televised commercial for StockX[19]. Yeezy Busta is featured as a celebrity cameo that waits in line for a sneaker that has sold out.

Controversies

Call outs aka "Busts"

Yeezy Busta's infamous "busts" have been known to stir up controversies. These busts have involved celebrities such as: Soulja Boy, Rich The Kid, Swae Lee, Jackie Chan, Zac Efron, Tiësto and more. Yeezy Busta has shifted his focus from posting his call-outs from his Instagram to his YouTube Channel.[20] Yeezy Busta's busts involve him calling out celebrities or public figures for wearing counterfeit goods such as: clothes, sneakers, jewelry, watches and more. Many of these celebrities have responded to Yeezy busta sometimes not claiming fault.[9]

Mystery brand involvement

In January of 2019 Yeezy Busta was interviewed[21] about his thoughts on the controversial website that promised real life prizes in digital mystery boxes. It was a speculated that Mystery Brand was manipulating influencers' boxes with higher likelihoods of winning more expensive and rarer items. Yeezy Busta was offered in the tens of thousands of dollars to promote this website but respectfully declined.[21] Famous YouTubers such as Jake Paul and Rice Gum were put on blast for promoting this controversial website.[21]
