Yash Gupta (born 18 December 1998) is an Indian entrepreneur and industrialist. He is the founder and managing director of Rikayaa Greentech Private Limited, a company engaged in recycling-based production of refined tin and other non-ferrous metals in India.[1][2]

Gupta has been reported in national and international media for his role in establishing domestic tin refining capacity using recycled feedstock, at a time when India remains largely dependent on imports for the metal.[1][3][4] He was named to the Forbes India 30 Under 30 list (Class of 2026) in the Clean Energy & Climate Change category.[2]

Early life and education

Gupta was born on 18 December 1998 in India. He completed a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA). According to published interviews, his early exposure to metals trading and industrial recycling environments influenced his interest in non-ferrous metal processing and recycling.[1][5]

Career

Rikayaa Enterprises Limited

Gupta began his entrepreneurial activities in 2020 through Rikayaa Enterprises, which initially focused on trading and recycling of non-ferrous metals such as copper and tin. Media accounts note that his early work involved handling industrial scrap and secondary raw materials and supplying refined and traded metals to domestic customers.[1][3]

Rikayaa Greentech Private Limited

Gupta subsequently founded Rikayaa Greentech Private Limited as a manufacturing-focused venture specialising in recycling-based tin refining. The company established its primary manufacturing facility in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh.[1][3]

According to media reports, Rikayaa Greentech produces refined tin using metallurgical processes applied to recycled feedstock, including tin-bearing scrap and secondary materials derived from e-waste streams.[1][5] The company has been reported to serve approximately 25–30 industrial clients and to operate with an installed capacity of around 4,000 metric tonnes per annum.[1][3]

Recognition and certifications

Gupta’s work has received coverage and recognition in connection with non-ferrous metal recycling and manufacturing activities. He was included in Forbes India 30 Under 30 (2026) in the Clean Energy & Climate Change category.[2]

Media reports state that tin ingots produced by Rikayaa Greentech have received certification under IS 26:2024 from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).[6] The company has also been reported as a DPIIT-recognised startup under Startup India and as having received income-tax exemption under Section 80-IAC from the Inter-Ministerial Board.[5][6] Additional reported certifications include ZED Gold (Zero Effect Zero Defect) and ISO certifications such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 22000.[5][6]

Media coverage

Gupta and Rikayaa Greentech have been covered by publications including Forbes India, The Economic Times, ELLE India, Free Press Journal, The Hans India, DNA India, and MSN.[1][7][2][3][5][8][6][9][4]
