SmartProject Suite is an integrated SaaS based part of Wrench’s vision to digitize and automate the project lifecycle of infrastructure and construction industry to improve profitability and quality by reducing the risk of cost overrun and delay
Wrench SmartProject is a Digital PMO system (Project Management Office) that monitors and controls all the engineering, construction and infrastructure project health parameters in real-time and notifies the stakeholders proactively to prevent delays, cost overrun and ensure quality.
Wrench SmartProject EDMS (Engineering Document/ Drawing Management System) provides a collaboration platform for all stakeholders in the AEC industry (like Owners, Contractors, Architects and PMCs) and manages all BIM /3D models, drawings, documents and data along the project lifecycle.
To date, Wrench SmartProject has been used on 10,000+ projects across 32 countries.
History
Founder & CEO K Varghese Daniel (KVD) founded the company in 1988[1] with a CAD collaboration tool[2] for manufacturing organizations, but his vision was for the engineering and construction process to be driven by digital technology with people, process, and data connected in the cloud.[3]
In early 2010, Wrench released SmartProject, an end-to-end, integrated, cloud-based system that could be rolled out on the full project cycle of engineering, procurement, and construction.
Wrench celebrates its Silver Jubilee 25th anniversary this year in 2023 with a series of global events to thank Wrench's worldwide customer base.[4]
Software
Wrench SmartProject is a digital platform that runs on Microsoft Azure[5] and can be deployed as a SaaS by project owners, architects, contractors, and PMCs on infrastructure and construction projects. Wrench also offers an app for customers on the move.
Since his customers weren’t ready for that he created a phased digitization model[6] for aspects of project management including data-sharing,[7] engineering deliverables management & monitoring,[8][9] and project collaboration,[10] among others. During the next few years Wrench expanded to Asia Pacific[11] and the Americas[12] and as of December 2022 Wrench has 200+ Customers worldwide.
In 2020 Wrench won a Digital Technology Award from the IMC Chamber of Commerce and Industry.[13]
During the COVID-19 pandemic Wrench introduced a Digital PMO[14] service that lets companies replace or downsize manpower and offices.
