WeyMedia Inc is a personal finance company who creates content and fintech products for Canadian consumers.[1] Based in Dieppe, New Brunswick, they operate two Canadian resources: HowToSaveMoney and creditcardGenius.
On January 28, 2020, WeyMedia was awarded a Canadian trademark for their proprietary credit card ranking algorithm: "Genius Rating."[2]
History
HowToSaveMoney was registered in 2007, but it wasn’t until 2010 that the company’s Co-founder, Stephen Weyman, published his first post. Together, Stephen and Maria Weyman expanded HowToSaveMoney, and then launched creditcardGenius in 2017. [3]

HowToSaveMoney is a resource that teaches Canadian consumers how to save money. [4] They offer free calculators, and publish money saving tips as well as personal finance product reviews with an objective rating methodology.
CreditcardGenius
creditcardGenius is an advanced credit card comparison tool that analyzes almost every credit card in Canada.They combine more than 126 credit card features with the user’s personalized preferences, to produce a unique score called a Genius Rating.[5]
