Vuong Quang Khai[1] (born in 1979) is a Vietnamese software engineer. He is known as the founder[2] of Zalo - the messaging platform with the most number of users in Vietnam[3], Zing, and Kiki AI Assistant.

Career

After coming back from the U.S. with the VEF Program[4], Vuong Quang Khai returned to Vietnam in 2007 and joined VNG. He developed some popular technology products, including:

  • Zalo: Vietnam's most-used messaging app with more than 77 million users.[5]
  • Zing Portal: The first news portal in Vietnam with Zing News, Zing Mp3 and other digital services.
  • Kiki AI Assistant: The voice assistant in car with a million users in Vietnam.[6]

Education

Vuong Quang Khai graduated from Hanoi University of Science and Technology with the degree in Information Technology. He acquired his master's degree in Computer Science from Columbia University, New York.

As a college student, he attacked the network "Tri Tue Vietnam" (Vietnam Intelligence) of FPT. After a few warnings and suspensions, he was invited by Truong Dinh Anh to work for Vietnam Intelligence Network.

Personal Life

Vuong Quang Khai was born in 1979 in Hanoi. He is the son of the famous Vietnamese culture researcher Vuong Tri Nhan.
