Imre Kis (born 11 December 1989), popularly known as Van Snyder is an Austrian music producer and DJ. Snyder specializes in electronic dance music and is regarded as one of the genre’s most prolific artists. He is currently signed with Tiger Records, Zero Cool Records, TurnItUp Muzik (Black Hole Recordings), Total Freedom Recordings, UndGrdMusic (Joachim Garraud’s label). Snyder is the recipient of the YouTube Silver Play Button Award. He has garnered over 180000 subscribers on YouTube, 972000 fans on Facebook, and about 139000 followers on Instagram.[1]

Snyder debuted in the music industry with his single Start Again amongst other songs that ranked in several European DJ and dance charts.[2] In due course of his career, Snyder has produced remixes for industry giants like Bonnie Tyler, Flo Rida, Lil Wayne, Akon, and T-Pain. He has even gained substantial support from leading DJs such as Afrojack, Nicky Romero, R3HAB, Blasterjaxx, and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, to name a few.[3]

Early life and education

Snyder was born on 11th December 1989 to Imre Kis Senior and Klara Kis. He grew up in Siegersdorf, where he completed his primary education. He then enrolled in a secondary school in Tulln, from which he graduated in 2004 and then went to the Polytechnicum School.

Career

Snyder started DJing when he was 16 years old. Initially, he played at private parties, and within two years, he began producing EDM.[4] Since then, Snyder has released a number of singles that have been recorded and recognized as a great success in the European DJ and dance charts between 2009 and 2010. One of his early songs, Start Again, released in 2011, has also been remixed by Michael Mind Project, a German House DJ, and music production duo.[5]

Snyder, in his diversified career, has worked with several renowned artists such as Bonnie Tyler, Klaas, PH Electro, and others. He has also made remixes for multiple AAA listers like Bonnie Tyler, Flo Rida, Lil Wayne, T-Pain, Akon and others which were released by top record labels including SONY Music Entertainment and Kontor Records.[6]

Snyder's talent, consistency, and hard work have all made significant contributions to the electronic dance music scene, and his singles are well-known in the EDM world, such as Make It Loud (Headhunterz Remix), Love Is A Battle, Infinity (Dave Ruthwell & Mr. Sid Remix),[7] Be Mine (Dave Ruthwell & Mr. Sid VIP Mix),[8] and What You Gon Do, to name a few.
