Twin Strings[1] is an Indie boy band/Music Producers based out of New Delhi, India in 2017. The group is composed of Sagar, Sahil, Manav & Mohit Deen. The band is known for their tasteful renditions as well as for creating original music with a unique perspective. The multi-faceted band are music composers too and also run a music & video production house. Right from their early days of formation they took YouTube by storm with their trending covers which have garnered millions of views. They quickly grew to occupy a place amongst India’s top music YouTube channels.

History

It all started from the engineering days of the twin duo Sagar & Sahil when they would collectively make music along with their cousin brother Mohit Deen who at the time was studying sound production and engineering from “Beat Factory”, Delhi. Sahil played the piano while Sagar played the guitar and decided to make videos as well. They made some incredibly heartfelt & soulful music with the support of Mohit Deen on the drums/cajon. The trio which shared a common love for music and videography went on to make their first audio cover with their childhood friend Nupur Sanon and released it on their previous channel “Deen Productions” which went viral in no time. The first ever self-shot video cover was released on 24 Dec 2015 as Janam Janam - Dilwale | Cover by Nupur Sanon ft. Twin Strings which was the first Christmas present to the listeners. Motivated by the overwhelming response to their cover the team of the three brothers worked rigorously in their field of interest and started looking out for more artists to collaborate with.

With the temporary departure of Mohit Deen in 2016 to pursue MBA, the twin duo Sagar & Sahil formed their own Youtube channel and named it “Twin Strings[6]”. Early Twin Strings collaborations with various artists like Nupur Sanon, Pavitra Krishnan , Raghav Chaitanya & Rashmeet Kaur received immense love from the Youtube viewership resulting in the rapid growth of the channel’s subscriber-base.

The band was on a look out to find the 4th member who would be their lead vocalist. In mid 2017, they discovered Manav on Instagram singing a casual cover of a Lucky Ali classic. Manav at that point was working in an IT MNC. Ever since his childhood days, Manav had primarily been keyboardist, having been a part of one of India’s most recognized metal bands “Guillotine”, amongst others. However, it was his voice that caught the attention of the twin brothers. On 8th July 2017 the band released the first ever cover track in collaboration with manav i.e., Raabta[7], post which they went on to do a number of collaborations with him until 2019 when he joined the band as a full time singer. “I guess it’s safe to say that if I’m singing today it’s because Sahil-Sagar convinced me to do so...” says Manav.

Dhalti Rahe:

On 10 Jan 2019 the band came up with their first ever original. It is a cute, romantic indie vibe track which describes the surreal phase of having butterflies in your stomach for that someone special, which the band says is arguably the most beautiful and special phase in one’s love journey when everything is so new, fresh and pure. The song received immense love across domains.

Tujhse Hoti Hai Subah[8]:

When the world was struggling with an outbreak of the Covid-19 and the restrictions imposed due to it, the band decided to release their second original track in which they used their live shows footage done prior to Covid era and tried bringing smiles on their listeners' faces. This song is a cute country & beech vibe love number that would surely make you groove along apart from making you remember your loved one. The song has a unique flavour to it and fits in the genre of both romantic and dance/feel good.
