Tiffany Gaines (born April 22, 1980) is an American entertainment executive, publicist, music distributor, manager, motivational speaker, and author.[1] She is the founder of SS Global Entertainment, a leading management and music distribution company based in California.[2] Gaines is also the COO of Amada Records, Vice President of Hush Media Networks, and the CEO of LRT Entertainment. She is best known for her music compilation "Tiffany Gaines Exclusives" that peaked number 2 on the iTunes chart in the Hip-hop/Rap genre co-produced by “Faided” and charted number 9 on Billboard, following right behind DJ Khaled's debut album “Khaled Khaled”.[3][4]

Gaines specializes in brand management, creating media outreach programs, developing media strategy, social verification, and other marketing services. In her diversified career of more than a decade, she has worked with numerous prolific artists to diversify their sales channels and helped them gain more traction. Her vision of providing online branding services to customers has transformed SS Global to secure a strong market position.[5]

Gaines is the author of the best selling book “Shared Success Blueprint – Everything You Need to Know to Make it in Business” She has been listed in Forbes Next 1000 as an Honoree and has been featured in several media outlets including Yahoo, Net News Ledger, LA Weekly, ED Times, Hip-Hop Weekly, Medium, Influencive, Globe-News Wire and others.[6][7][8]

As of 2021, Gaines is a contributor for Entrepreneur magazine.[9]

Early life and education

Gaines was born on April 22, 1980, to Ivory D. Thompson and Rosalyn Tammy Yeh. She grew up in Oklahoma with a sister named Crystal L. Thompson. After completing her primary education at Preston Highschool, she moved to California and later graduated from Rowland High School. Gaines then enrolled in the University of California, Riverside, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, with an emphasis on Law and Society.

Career

Gaines started her career as a model for Baby Phat, signed under contract with Barbizon Modeling. Soon she made several industry connections with executives, producers, and celebrities, eventually ending up in the music and entertainment industry.[10]

In 2001, Gaines established Blasia's Entertainment, LLC, which was later merged into another one of her entrepreneurial ventures - SS Global Entertainment, LLC in 2006. During this transition, Gaines managed to secure a vast clientele of over 2000 artists, and as of 2021, SS Global Entertainment is non exclusively contracted with nearly 5,000 artists and 59 record labels. It is a highly acclaimed distribution network associated with multiple record labels like Amada Records, Worldwide Music Group, Freeway Rick Ross Music Group, Hood And Associates. Under the leadership of Gaines, SS Global Entertainment has featured several prolific artists including Mally Mall, Baby Bash, E-40, Jadakiss, Moneybagg Yo, Kurupt from the Dogg Pound, the Late Nate Dogg, and his son Lil Nate Dogg.[11][12][13]

In 2014, Gaines co-founded the LRT Music Video Awards with Lisa Thomas, President of LRT Entertainment with the aim to offer worldwide recognition to artists who deserve to be honored for not only their creative works but also as hardworking individuals who excel in debuting their talents through visual performance and media. LRT Music Video Awards has honored multiple deserving candidates such as Steve Lobel, 3 times Grammy nominee, Mista Choc; Producer of Aftermath Entertainment, Kerry Gordy of Motown Records, DJ Johnny O’ Horton of Nerve DJ’s, Alonzo Williams of NWA just to name a few. Furthermore, performers such as American Idol’s Jacob Lusk, American Idol’s Frankee Razor, Dr. Dre’s son Curtis Young, attendees such as Rappin 4 Tay, Da Lench Mob, choreographer Shane Sparks, Compton’s Most Wanted, King Tee among many others.[14]

In February 2019, she started managing nine-time national award-winning actor Charles D. Clark. In March 2020, Gaines became a board member of the Southern California Women's Chamber of Commerce.[15]

In July 2021, she released her first book titled “Shared Success Blueprint – Everything You Need to Know to Make it in Business” on Amazon, which became a Bestseller in the first week of release. She currently writes for ten magazines listed under Hush Media Networks, which include Revolver Magazine, Grind Magazine, Hush Magazine, Vault Magazine, Authentic Magazine, Luxe Weekly, Bright Minds, Mash Magazine, Bossy Girl Magazine, and Awkward Magazine.

Other work

Since 2012, Gaines has been associated with management for Freeway Rick Ross, a globally known public figure. She also managed Dr Dre’s son, Curtis Young from 2013 through 2019 and still currently advises him on business affairs today.[16]

She has also helped Freeway Rick Ross following his release from prison, to become a prison reform activist, Amazon Bestseller and motivational speaker.

Personal life

Gaines, as of 2016, has been dating Demetrius Alphonsa Hawthorne Sr. aka "Faided" and is a mother to three children. She is fluent in Mandarin and English.
