Tam Coyle is a Scottish DJ, music promoter[1] and Scottish football "superfan".

Career

In the early 2000s, Coyle worked for Glasgow City Council as their Music Business Development Officer.[2]

He is a music promoter[3] famous for promoting The Stone Roses[4] and a Disc jockey[5][6] described by Scottish entertainment magazine The List, in 2007, as a "local legend".[7] He was the first music booker for King Tut's Wah Wah Hut and suggested the name for the Glasgow music venue to the owner.[2] He has DJed at Scottish football events, for The Proclaimers,[2] and has at times, DJed four nights a week in his home city of Glasgow.[2]

He was previously the Chair of the Scottish Music Industry Association[8] and is currently the Scotland Representative for the Scottish music event Independent Venue Week.[9]

Personal life

Coyle has attended over 100 Scotland international football matches since 1985,[10] and was described by the Daily Record (Scotland) as a "superfan" in May 2021.[11]
