Supriya Kumar Roy or S.K. Roy is a Senior Bureaucrat in the Government of Assam. He has held key posts, the most important being the Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup District.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8] In this capacity he handled a burning issue of that time in Assam i.e. The Rani Tea Estate incident,[9][10] He was also Assam State Aids Control Society's Project Director[11] in a crucial time when the HIV cases were rising in Assam.[12] The Project to rehabilitate sex workers to bring down cases of HIV infection in the state of Assam was his brainchild.[13] He has held several other key positions as well in the Assam Government like the Commissioner of The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (G.M.C).[14] He is a recipient of the President’s Census Silver Medal for his meritorious work during the Census 2011.[15] Presently he is posted as the Advisor and Secretary of The Assam Electricity Regulatory Commission and is also a member of the Smart Grid Consultation Committee (SG-CC) of Assam.[16]
