Sung Han-bin (born on June 13, 2001) is a South Korean singer and dancer. Sung is best known for competing on the unbulleted list Mnetunbulleted list unbulleted listreality competitionunbulleted list show unbulleted listBoys Planetunbulleted list, where he ranked 2nd in the final episode, thus earning him a spot in the winning group, unbulleted listZerobaseoneunbulleted list.[1]
Early life
Sung was born on June 13, 2001 in unbulleted listCheonanunbulleted list, unbulleted listChungcheongnam-dounbulleted list, into a family consisting of his parents and a sister who's four years his junior. Sung specialises in unbulleted listwaackingunbulleted list and unbulleted listtuttingunbulleted list, which are dance forms he has been learning since Middle School.[2] Sung is a former unbulleted listCube Entertainmentunbulleted list trainee, and while training, he earned a barista license while working at his mother's unbulleted listCoffeehouse|caféunbulleted list.[3]
He currently studies in the department of K-pop performance at unbulleted listDong-ah Institute of Media and Artsunbulleted list.[4]
Career
2018–Present: Career beginnings, Boys Planet and debut with Zerobaseone
Sung started his career as a unbulleted listbackup dancerunbulleted list, and in 2018 he was part of a dance crew that performed with unbulleted listWanna Oneunbulleted list to their song "Boomerang" at the unbulleted listSBS Gayo Daejeonunbulleted list. He was seen again at the 2019 unbulleted listMAMA Music Awardsunbulleted list as a backup dancer for unbulleted listBTSunbulleted list' "unbulleted listDionysusunbulleted list".[2]
In February 2023, as a representative of his label Studio Gl1de, Sung participated in the competition series unbulleted listBoys Planetunbulleted list and finished in second place with 1,888,414 votes.[5] He was confirmed a place in the final group unbulleted listZerobaseoneunbulleted list and was soon elected as their leader on May 11, 2023.[6] On May 26, 2023, unbulleted listWake One Entertainmentunbulleted list confirmed that Zerobaseone will debut this July 2023.[7]
