Sonic Cathedral is a British independent record label founded in October 2004 by former NME journalist Nathaniel Cramp.[1][2]
History
Originally intended as a night club to promote Swedish dream pop band The radio dept's debut album it later became a record label after a request to Ride frontman Mark Gardener to put out a 7" single.[3]
On May 18th 2014, shoegaze band Slowdive played their first gig in 20 years as part of the label's 10th anniversary show.[4][5]
In 2021, Sonic Cathedral was nominated for best small label by Aim Awards.[6][7]
In 2024, Sonic Cathedral was nominated for best boutique labels by Aim Awards.[8]
