Mutahar Anas (born May 1, 1994), better known by his online alias SomeOrdinaryGamers (formerly mutahar1), is an Indian-descent Canadian YouTuber, online streamer, and video editor.[1]
Personal life
Mutahar Anas was born on May 1, 1994, in Toronto, Canada.[2][1] His family came from Lucknow, India. His father is a doctor.
Career
He began posting videos to YouTube in 2007 at age 13 under the handle "mutahar1".[3] His current channel, SomeOrdinaryGamers, was created on March 15, 2012. He started by uploading Let's Play videos of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. He got 40,000 subscribers after only a year of making videos. He started streaming on Twitch in late 2013. Anas continued to focus on gaming videos on his channel until August 2, 2015, when he started to focus on deep web and creepypasta videos.[4] In 2015, he graduated from the Humber College.[5] In early 2019, he started to focus on commentary videos.[6] In early 2020, controversial YouTuber ImJayStation announced his girlfriend's fake death in an Ottawa car accident.[7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14] Anas searched for reference to the accident, and received police confirmation that she was not involved in any car accident within the Canadian municipality.[15] On April 13, 2020, Anas uploaded a video about how Valorant anti-cheat engine could be a security or privacy risk to consumers. The video became viral with international media covering it.[16][17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24][25]
