Solar Equity Solutions is a solar contract exit company that specializes in helping homeowners terminate solar contract obligations that were misrepresented or unfairly sold. [1]
History
Solar Equity Solutions (SES) was founded in January 2025 in response to a growing and deeply concerning problem within the residential solar industry. Originally, its work focused on solar advocacy and consumer education, which involved helping homeowners understand how solar financing works, how contracts should be structured, and what questions must be answered before anyone signs a long-term agreement tied to their home. The company’s founders believe renewable energy can be a positive force when implemented ethically and transparently.
Over time, however, SES saw a troubling pattern emerging in the solar energy industry: whereas once consumers reached out to SES with general questions about solar, inquiries began to focus on problems. Consumers were reporting payments on contracts that did not match what they were promised, savings that never materialized, loans they did not fully understand, liens they were never clearly told about, and installers who disappeared once the contract was signed.[2]
As SES realized issues were arising across multiple states and involved multiple installers and multiple lenders, it began reviewing contracts, financing documents, and sales materials in detail. Working in conjunction with independent attorneys, it found misleading projections, buried disclosures, altered loan terms, and sales practices designed to close deals quickly rather than ensure homeowners truly understood what they were agreeing to.
When it became clear that thousands of homeowners were being promised savings, lower bills, and easy financing only to end up with rising costs, hidden fees, and contracts that felt impossible to escape, SES realized providing education alone was no longer enough. At that point, the company shifted its focus — not away from solar, but toward protecting homeowners.[3]

Products and Services
- Legal Solar Contract Cancellation: SES helps people who were coerced or misled into signing long-term solar leases or loans contest the legality of their contract. Its cancellation service highlights scams, hidden terms, and violations that enable consumers to cancel solar contracts after the contractual cancellation period ends.[5]
- Free Solar Contract Review: By contacting SES, consumers can explain their situation in a quick, no-pressure conversation. The information consumers provide allows the SES team to determine if the circumstances qualify for contract termination based on misrepresentations or deceptive sales practices.
- Solar Misrepresentation Dispute Advocacy: When solar company sales representatives overpromise savings, misrepresent the performance consumers can expect from solar panels, or fail to disclose financing terms properly, SES works with independent attorneys to present the problem, often leading to lease terminations or refund leverage.[6]
- Refund and Recovery Assistance: When deceptive contracts cause homeowners financial distress, SES coordinates independent attorneys to engage directly with solar providers and lenders to seek refunds, settlement credits, and compensation for losses.
