Sildar is a small village of 1418 hectares in Sirohi Tehsil in Sirohi district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sildar depends on SIROHI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 133.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Sildar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Sildar's pin code is 307802[4], and village code is 02356700. The area of Sildar is segregated as 356 hectares irrigated area, 140 hectares unirrigated, the 389 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 533 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The workforce is 408 male, 503 female with 407 (75.65%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 96 males and 143 females. 27 males and 60 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 13 male and 14 female agricultural labor. 131 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Sirohi to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
