Showbie, developed by Showbie Inc.[1], is Education software[2] that can be accessed via a website,[3] or iOS Application software.[4] It enables communication between Teacher and Student. It is designed in the style of a messaging app, with two-way communcation with teachers as well as a 'class discussion', where all members in a class can participate. Students can join classes or groups by entering a pin code. Teachers can set due dates for assignments, which appear to students. It is avaliable in 13 Language.[5]

Showbie has become more popular during the COVID-19 pandemic, when much of student's learning moved online. In one case in Lancaster, Lancashire, I allowed 3 school years to continue learning after a positive test.[6]

Showbie has been praised by teachers for being an easy-to-use app, as it combines assignments, feedback and communication.[5] It is also said to 'cut paper costs'[13] by creating a paperless classroom.

However, Showbie has been critisised in reviews for lacking features and a lack of Work–life balance.[14]
