Shane Shuma is a paralegal, customer service team lead, and law student based in Pennsylvania. He serves as a paralegal at Scott & Associates in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania while maintaining his role as Customer Service Team Lead at Chick-fil-A in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. His college coursework supported his love for the law, and as of 2023, he is studying for his law degree. Shane is acknowledged for his management skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

He maintains a love for the arts and has received several awards for his excellence in studies and contributions to the college community. Shuma’s diverse skill set and involvement in the community exhibit his professional talents and personal character.

Education and Career

Shane Shuma graduated as valedictorian from his high school.[1]

Shuma received his Bachelor of Arts degree in law and policy from Dickinson College in 2022.[2] His coursework included German, finance, and pre-law, and he received two Urkunde awards from the German department.[3] During his undergraduate studies, he served as a tutor at Dickinson College’s Writing Center, working with United States Army War College international fellows and Dickinson students.[4] He also participated in Mock Trial, the Dickinsonian newspaper, College Republicans, and Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society.[5]

For two years while in college, Shuma served as an assistant and aide to Pennsylvania State Representative Barb Gleim.[5] He also interned for the McKinney Performing Arts Center and volunteered as a docent for the Heard-Craig Center for the Arts in McKinney, Texas.[6]

Shuma worked as a paralegal at Scott & Associates in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania beginning in November 2022.[7] He was also a customer service team lead for Chik-fil-A in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.[8] He began working for the company as a team member in 2021.

He began his Doctor of Law program at George Mason University’s Antonin Scalia Law School in 2023.
