Shakuntala Bhupendra Karandikar (née Agashe; 20 July 1931, in Pune – 1 June 2018, in Dahanu) was an Indian biographer and philanthropist,[1][2] best remembered for writing the Marathi biography of her father Chandrashekhar Agashe titled Vishwasta (1992).[3][4] The book was translated into English by Nandan Phadnis and republished in 2022.[5] As a philanthropist, she advocated for various women's causes in Dahanu, and served as president of the Rotary Club and the Wednesday Women's Society of Dahanu.[2][6]
