The Seton Hall University School of Law, which is part of Seton Hall University and can be found in the central business district of Newark, New Jersey, is the university's law school. Seton Hall Law School is the sole private law school in the state of New Jersey, and according to the rankings provided by U.S. News & World Report, it is the highest-ranked of the two law schools located in the state. The institution awards the degrees of Juris Doctor, Master of Laws, and Master of Science in Jurisprudence to its students interested in the legal field. It has been in operation since 1951, and in addition to being a member of the Association of American Law Schools, it holds accreditation from the American Bar Association.

On February 5, 1951, the Seton Hall University School of Law opened its doors to its first class of students at 40 Journal Square in Jersey City, which was once the location of the John Marshall building. The American Bar Association granted the school its full accreditation in the same year that it first opened its doors to students. In 2015, Kathleen M. Boozang took over as Dean from her predecessor, Patrick E. Hobbs.

Seton Hall University, which can be found in South Orange, New Jersey, is home to the law school known as Seton Hall Law. The law school known as Seton Hall is situated in the heart of Downtown Newark, New Jersey.

The school's position in the rankings published by U.S. News & World Report dropped to the 70th spot for the 2022 edition.

The law school received a ranking of 35th place out of the top 50 law schools in the country by the blog Above the Law in 2018.

The graduating class of 2017 from Seton Hall was ranked first in the nation for state and federal clerkships by the National Law Journal, and 17th in the nation for job opportunities.
