Satish Shekar[1][2] born on 21 January, 1983 is an Indian entrepreneur. He is the founder and CEO of YoSync[3][4] the company that built India’s first Covid19 blockchain platform - BelYo[5][6][7][8] which has been accepted as a case study in digital India[9] as emerging technology[10]

Early Life

Satish Shekar was born in Vellore and raised in Bangalore in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu|Karnataka. He did his schooling from Baldwin Boys' High School|Baldwin Boys High School, pre-degree from Christ College, Bangalore|Christ Collage and bachelors from Seshadripuram College Bangalore University Bangalore.

Higher Education

Satish Shekar is an MSc graduate in purchasing and supply chain management from University of Westminster|University of Westminister (London) and also has a certification from Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply|Charted Institute of Purchasing and supply chain management CIPS (UK).

Career

SCM Consulting

Satish Shekar worked as business and independent consultant for over a decade in various IT companies to help them build ERP software|ERPs for the European market in the area of supply chain and logistics. He has also worked exclusively on carbon footprint research in association with World Bank|world bank. He was also a speaker in many forums about SCM-IT and Entrepreneurship[11]

Politics

Satish Shekar also headed the social media campaign for Indian National Congress for 2013 Karnataka Legislative Assembly elections, 2014 Parliament of India|national elections and 2015 Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike|Bruhat Bengaluru mahanagara Palike elections[12] in Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee|Karnataka pradesh congress committee. His tweets have been quoted in media and publications[13][14]

Entrepreneur

Satish Shekar[15] and Latha HS founded YoSync[16] in 2017, to explore opportunities in the field of blockchain[17][18][19][20], they partnered with BelfricsBT[21] to develop blockchain products and services exclusively for Indian market in the field of healthcare[22][23], education and employment.

YoSync[24] a start-up[25] incubated at IIIT-B|International Institute of Information Bangalore[26][27][28][29][30] specialised in providing blockchain products and services across domains, currently working for education and healthcare sector. Satish has partnered[31] with Belfrics group to use their Belrium Blockchain, the hybrid blockchain for decentralised applications for developing such products and services.

Satish Shekar[32][33] developed India’s first COVID-19|COVID19 blockchain platform[5][34][35][36][37][38][39][40] BelYo[41][42][43] in joint research with International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore|IIIT-B[44] and in collaboration with BelfricsBT[45], the seed fund for the project was given by Mphasis[46][47] as part of COVID19 challenge initiated by IIIT-B and Mphasis F1 foundation.[48][49][50] This project was accepted as a case study in Digital India[9]

Satish Shekar invested in Text Mercato Solutions Private Limited in the year 2015.[51] He was also a director till 2018[52][53][54]. He is also advising few Startup company|startups in the field of blockchain and Supply chain management|Supply Chain Management

Philanthropy

Satish Shekar is the co-founder of Culkey Foundation. The aim of the foundation is to digitise Hindu calendar|Hindu Calendars / almanac (approx 300 Panchangam|panchanga) across India with the ultimate vision of revamping Calendar committee report 1955, Government of India.

During COVID-19 pandemic|COVID-19 Pandemic COVID-19 lockdown in India|Lockdown in Karnataka Culkey Foundation in association with Mysore Palace King HH Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar and Shri Dinesh Gundu Rao Karnataka Legislative Assembly|MLA and president of Archaka Okkuta distrusted ration kits to 2200+ Hindu priest|temple priests in Karnataka[60] a part of this money was crowdsourced by donors[61]
