Sartara is a small village of 1370 hectares in Sirohi Tehsil in Sirohi district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sartara depends on SIROHI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 155.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Sartara is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Sartara's pin code is 307802[4], and village code is 02353100. The area of Sartara is segregated as 185 hectares irrigated area, 46 hectares unirrigated, the 828 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 311 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Sirohi to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
