Sandeep Bhansali (born in Pune, Maharashtra, India) is an Indian digital mentor, entrepreneur, former television actor, and the founder of Digital Azadi, a Hindi-language digital marketing education platform.[1] He is best known for his mission to democratize financial freedom through digital skills, Sandeep has impacted over 30,000 paid learners and built a thriving online education community in India.[2]
Early Life and Education
Sandeep Bhansali was born and raised in a middle-class family in Pune, Maharashtra. Despite scoring over 90% in his board examinations, financial limitations led him to pursue a diploma in pharmacy (D. Pharm) rather than a more expensive academic route.
Following his graduation, Sandeep briefly assisted in his family’s traditional saree business. However, his passion for performing arts drew him towards acting, and he soon relocated to Mumbai to pursue a career in television.
Career in Television
During his acting career, Sandeep Bhansali appeared in more than 50 Hindi television serials. His work spanned across popular soap operas and daily dramas, where he became a familiar face in Indian households. Despite his success in the entertainment industry, Sandeep shifted his focus back to entrepreneurship and family commitments.[3]
Entrepreneurial Ventures
In 2009, Sandeep moved back to Pune and joined his in-laws’ business, playing a significant role in establishing a fourth manufacturing unit for electrical control panels. After five years, he transitioned back to managing his family's saree business, helping evolve it into a departmental store alongside his father and brother.[4]
However, the advent of demonetization in 2016, the implementation of Goods and Services Tax (GST) in 2017, and the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 collectively brought severe disruptions to the retail and manufacturing sectors. These economic changes prompted Sandeep to explore alternative avenues for income and business survival. He also hosts an event twice a year called Manthan to bring his community together.[5]
Transition to Digital Education
Amidst the lockdown period during the COVID-19 pandemic, Sandeep began self-learning digital marketing through online platforms. Recognizing the power of digital tools and inspired by the plight of daily wage workers and unemployed youth, he envisioned creating a platform that could offer income-generating skills in Hindi to the broader Indian population. Over time, he also established himself as a Digital Marketing Coach, guiding others to leverage online opportunities for personal and professional growth.[6]
Digital Azadi
In 2020, Sandeep Bhansali founded Digital Azadi, an online platform offering training in digital marketing, affiliate marketing, content creation, and online selling—all taught in Hindi. What began as daily Zoom sessions evolved into one of India’s most active digital mentoring communities, with live webinars often drawing 700–800 participants per session.[7][8]
Digital Azadi focuses on empowering individuals from non-urban areas and diverse backgrounds, equipping them to develop multiple streams of income and work towards long-term financial independence. As of 2025, the platform has crossed 30,000+ paid members, generating over INR 20 crore in revenue within 36 months.[9]
Publications and Speaking Engagements
Sandeep is an Amazon Best Selling Author and has authored several books focusing on digital marketing, online entrepreneurship, and financial independence. One of his notable works includes Digital MSI - Multiple Sources Of Income: To Create A Life You Desire, All You Need Is Multiple Sources Of Income. He frequently conducts workshops, webinars, and motivational sessions on entrepreneurship, mindset, and digital income strategies.[10][11]
Personal Life
Sandeep is married and based in Pune. He often speaks about the influence of his family in shaping his values and entrepreneurial spirit. His journey from television actor to digital coach is cited as an example of successful reinvention.
