Samuel Preston IV (born May 5, 1991), known professionally as Sammie Preston, is an American creative media professional, model, stylist, entertainment consultant, and production manager.[1] He is best known for his contributions to the Baltimore club scene and his appearances across local television and music productions. Preston has worked on projects featured by ABC Television, DJ Mary Mac, and TV One, and has directed short films and media segments highlighting Baltimore's music and dance culture.[2][3]
Early life and education
Preston was born and raised in East Baltimore, where he developed early interests in art, music, and media. His mother, Jean Robinson is a former model who later worked as a financial bookkeeper in the healthcare sector and for political campaigns. His father, Samuel D. Preston III, was an engineer with the Marriott Corporation and operated an independent construction business that served clients including players from the Baltimore Ravens.
Preston’s godfather is Michael Jenkins, known in the entertainment industry as John E Depth. He has three siblings: a brother, Alexander Boone (born December 1987), a sister, Alexis Preston (born November 1989), and a sister, Quineshay Murphy. He is also the godfather to Da’kiaya Baptist.
Preston attended Southwestern High School and later Frederick Douglass High School. He pursued paralegal studies at Catonsville Community College and holds certifications in medical administration assistance, central sterile processing, Google project management, and Security+. He also received training in piano and visual/media production.
Career
Samuel Preston IV wears many hats; he is a Baltimore native with over 14 years of experience in the entertainment space as a creator and entertainment manager. He is currently a model, actor, and writer and enjoys exploring various creative mediums in his free time.
In 2008, Preston started his career in entertainment management through an offer to manage an inner-city dance group, Dramatics. He went on to work with other groups and built success in the entertainment industry by representing crews such as Kings of Club and Team Squad Up (TSU), managing a total of seven dance crews during his time in the Baltimore dance scene. He is most proud of selling out the world-famous Apollo Theater in New York City two years in a row while managing TSU. The group earned bookings on BET's Blaze the Stage, Universal Records, multiple concerts in Richmond, Virginia, and a headline spot at the M&T Bank Stadium Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam Show. At just 20 years old, he was awarded Dance Manager of the Year.[4]
Preston made his mark in the Baltimore dance scene by pioneering initiatives such as expanding Baltimore club dances and launching the highly publicized web series We Are Baltimore Dancers, which created a marketing platform for local dancers. He later exited entertainment management to focus on building his creative brand.
Preston began gaining broader recognition in the early 2010s through his work in Baltimore’s nightlife and dance communities, including styling and event promotion. In 2012, he was again awarded Manager of the Year and Dance Crew of the Year for his continued involvement with the TSU Dance Crew at the Baltimore Crown Awards.

Between 2023 and 2024, Preston directed and produced segments for The Baltimore Club Experience, a short film featured on Fox45, WJZ, and ABC News. He also served as the Production Stage Manager for Fox5 DC’s King of Baltimore Dance Competition segment and contributed to the Tamron Hall Show.
Collaborations and media affiliations
Preston has worked with various artists and media personalities, including DJ Mary Mac—best known as Madonna’s touring DJ—for whom he directed a music video. He has also contributed to multiple New York-based productions as a Production Assistant for ABC Television Studios, supporting shows such as The View, The Kelly Clarkson Show, Tamron Hall, and Sherri.
In 2023–2024, he served on the media team for the 19 Keys tour, further expanding his involvement in multimedia production and entertainment consulting.
Modeling and styling
Parallel to his production and media work, Preston has worked as an international model and stylist, contributing to branding and promotional campaigns across urban fashion and creative projects.
