Samantha Radocchia (aka Sam Rad) is an American entrepreneur known for her groundbreaking work on early blockchain technology, and authoring the crypto industry book "Bitcoin Pizza; The No-Bullshit Guide to Blockchain" (ISBN 1544504438) which received attention for predicting the exploration of what blockchain really is[1] and how it would radically change the financial landscape of global trading.[2] Radocchia was peer-recognized as a Forbes 30 Under 30|30 under 30 recipient by Forbes magazine|Forbes Magazine,[3] as well as being credited with preempting[4] the forefront of Non-fungible token|Non Fungible Token (NFT) technologies.[5][6] She is also credited with spearheading the inclusive movement of gender by exposing the myth that women do not belong in the IT industry.[7] Radocchia was also a former professional sky diver having accumulated over 700 jumps.[8]
Career
In 2014, she cofounded Chronicled, an early blockchain startup which was the forerunner linking blockchain-based identities for physical and digital property, to create a system for authenticity, ownership, and connectivity.[9][10] In 2017, she joined the faculty at Singularity University, where she teaches others about subjects like Web 3.0, decentralization, and blockchain and the sociocultural, geopolitical, and technological paradigm shifts impacting organizations, governments, and daily lives. Additionally, her lectures on risk, emotional intelligence and intuition have been featured by universities such as Massachusetts Institute of Technology|MIT, Columbia University|Columbia and University of California, Los Angeles|UCLA.[11]
Early Years
Watching her father grow a family-run business into a national chain while growing up in Glastonbury, Connecticut, Radocchia was inspired to become a prolific entrepreneur. Radocchia, who learned to program computer code about the same time when she learned to read, started her first business in 2011.

She then earned degrees at Colgate University and New York University.
Personal
Radocchia now lives in New York City with her partner and dog named Disco. She is currently the CEO of London, UK-based NYOUM LTD. She speaks to Universities and corporations worldwide on organizational culture and theory, particularly as we shift to globally distributed and remote workforces, while her lectures on risk, emotional intelligence and intuition have been featured by universities such as MIT, Columbia and UCLA.[12]
