Sam Allcock (born March 20, 1978) is a British entrepreneur, digital marketer, and author specialising in digital PR, SEO, and online reputation. Over the past two decades he has built and exited multiple marketing agencies, and now works primarily with founders, startups, and companies in the fintech and crypto sectors, helping them build their online presence, earn media coverage, and position themselves to raise finance.[1]

With more than 20 years of experience, Allcock has worked with leading brands including Red Bull, Nokia, Liverpool FC, Arsenal FC, Ladbrokes, and Kelkoo.[2] Allcock regularly contributes articles for notable platforms such as Huffington Post, Hubspot, The London Economic, Business Manchester, and PR News.[3][4]

Early life and education

Allcock was born and raised in Stockport, England. He graduated from Parrs Wood High School.

Career

In the early 2000s, Allcock began his digital marketing career, specialising in domain name investment and website development. His SEO expertise developed during this period, attracting clients such as Laptops Direct and Memory Bits.[5]

In 2007, he founded Custard, an independent SEO agency serving small and medium-sized e-commerce businesses. Within two years the agency reached a million-pound turnover and grew to over 50 staff, offering web development, design, and content marketing across sectors including gaming, insurance, finance, sports, travel, and entertainment. Allcock sold the business in 2018.[6][7]

In 2008, he founded PR Fire, a press release distribution and content marketing agency built around a pay-as-you-go model for media coverage. Headquartered in Hale, Cheshire, it has facilitated coverage for over 10,000 businesses in outlets including the BBC, Daily Mail, and New York Times.[8]

More recently, Allcock has focused on the founder, startup, and emerging-technology markets, advising fintech and crypto companies on digital PR, search visibility, and reputation management as part of their growth and fundraising efforts. He also operates a network of digital news properties and works as a domain investment consultant.[9][10][11][12]
