Safe Haven is an information technology and consulting organization that builds cutting-edge decentralized financial solutions for digital asset management and inheritance, supported by blockchain, proprietary protocols, and hardware security module (HSM) cold-storage devices.[1][2]

History

Safe Haven was established in 2017 by Jurgen Schouppe and Andy Demeulemeester, which originated in Belgium and is presently headquartered in Singapore.[3] Both co-founders have been involved with blockchain since their early days and were dedicated to developing universally accessible, safe, and decentralized digital storage solutions.[4]

Safe Haven offers various decentralized finance products to assist individuals and businesses in managing, storing, and transferring access to their digital assets, social media and bank accounts, secured documents, and corporate accounts. Their products include digital backup and inheritance solutions, secure digital ledger technology, browser-based wallets, ID management, and atomic bridging that supports their chain-agnostic approach.

The company has partnered with several companies and organizations dedicated to digital asset transfer, storage, and security aspects. These partners include VeChain, Nitrokey, Red4Sec, StartupGrind, Magma, Hapi, Blue Lab Studios, Xspectar, Vpunks, Stonerpunks, PlenaFinance, xVerse, Venly, RadioShack, WorldofV and ChainEstate Dao.[5]

Safe Haven is well-known for gaining many patents for various components of its created products involving encryption, multiparty storage, and digitalized information transmission.[6] It has active patents in Europe, the United States, and China (pending).[7] Industry-trusted cybersecurity firm Red4Sec does audits of smart contracts and platform services. Additionally, Intigriti, Europe’s #1 ethical hacking and bug bounty platform, runs an active bug bounty program for Safe Haven.[8]

Trading mechanism

Safe Haven has its own cryptocurrency SHA, which is integral to the function of Safe Haven products. It is used in all products, for example, to create digital inheritance and backup plans and in staking and locking mechanisms.[9] SHA can be purchased on several cryptocurrency trading platforms, including KuCoin, BitMart, Vexchange, PancakeSwap, and Bitrue.

In 2019, Safe Haven launched the Safe Haven Masternodes Program. SHA masternode holders enjoy tier-based discounts on usage and subscriptions to Safe Haven products, a piece of the utility rewards based on their tier, and additional prizes based on their loyalty.[10]

Notable products

Safe Haven’s main product is Inheriti®, a decentralized backup, and inheritance solution.[11] Customers can manage access to their digital assets and data, back up their passwords, and distribute them to designated parties while retaining complete control over their assets and personal information.[12] To further supplement Inheriti®, Safe Haven offers a hardware SafeKey, a device capable of universal two-factor identification and secure data storage.[13] SafeKey allows clients to access their accounts on multiple platforms, such as cryptocurrency exchanges, Facebook, and Google, with a touch on SafeKey. SafeKey’s cold storage functionality for Inheriti® shares comes through its support by Safe Haven developed SSDP (Shared Shares Distribution Protocol).[14]

The company has recently launched SafeSwap, an atomic swap platform that provides a seamless and transparent method for transferring digital assets between compatible blockchains without the security risks and liquidity and slippage issues associated with other bridging technologies.[15][16]
