Ryan Deiss is an American digital marketer,[1] speaker, bestselling author, and founder of multiple companies.[2][3][4] He is best known as the world’s leading digital marketer by Shark Tank star Daymond John.[5] Ryan is also the creator of the "Customer Value Optimization" methodology and has introduced and popularized many digital selling strategies.[6][7][8]

Ryan is the bestselling author of Digital Marketing For Dummies and the Invisible Selling Machine.

Early life and education

Ryan attended the University of Texas to pursue his Bachelor's in Corporate Communications, which he completed in 2003. As a college student, he launched his very first e-book selling website and generated his very first sale from his freshman dorm room.[9] By the time Ryan graduated, his online property had ballooned to 500, and a hobby had grown into a real business.

Career

Ryan, who first launched his web-based business from his college in 1999, founded over 40 different businesses in markets such as health and beauty, survival and preparedness, DIY crafts and home improvement, investing and finance, chemical and liquid filter manufacturing, business lending, online skills training, and menswear, to name a few.[10][11][12]

Fast forward to the present day, Ryan is the Founder and CEO of DigitalMarketer.com[13][14] and the Founder and Managing Partner of NativeCommerce.com, a digital media and ecommerce group.[15] His business, DigitalMarketer, is the top supplier of training and certifications in digital marketing. More than 15,000 paying members and more than 500,000 subscribers make up its community.[16][17]

Ryan is also the founder and host of the Traffic & Conversion Summit,[18] the largest digital marketing conversion conference in North America.[19] He is also a well-known speaker who has appeared on stage alongside notable business figures and personalities including Dave Ramsey, Gary Vaynerchuk, Tim Ferris, Daymond John, and William Shatner.[20][21][22]

Ryan’s RivalBrands.com hosts hundreds of websites including MakeupTutorials.com, DIYProjects.com, SurvivalLife.com, and Sewing.com. He is also the Founder and CEO of The Scalable Company,[23][24] a platform to help entrepreneurs build their operating systems to scale their businesses.[25][26][27][28]

Ryan is an author of multiple books which include Digital Marketing For Dummies, Invisible Selling Machine,[29] 13 Ways to Hack Facebook Ads: A Digital Marketer Hack Guide, Marketing digital Pour les Nuls, nelle éd. (French Edition).[30]

Personal life

Ryan is married to Emily. He is a proud father of four children, Jonathan, Joyce, Ruth and Timothy.
