Nicholas Joseph Ruffalo (born November 18, 1999), known professionally as Ruff, is an American dance-pop music producer and songwriter.[1]
Early Life
Nicholas Joseph Ruffalo was born in New Jersey, United States[2]. He began producing music while at Gettysburg College after a friend showed him a video of the Chainsmokers performing at Ultra Music Festival[3]. He cites artist such as the Chainsmokers, Gryffin, & Hans Zimmer as musical inspirations[4]. In his downtime, he enjoys working out and being outside in nature[5].
Career
2020
On July 3, 2020, Ruff released his debut single titled "Self Sabotage" with producer MIKEY C and singer Lila McKenna via Australian record label Teamwrk Records[6].
He released a follow up single titled "Without It" alongside singer Robbie Rosen on October 2, 2020 via record label Killabite Media[7]
2021
Ruff released a reworked version of the Justin Bieber song "Love Yourself" with American singer Diffrnt on February 26, 2021[8]
On March 26, 2021 Ruff released "Reasons", a collaboration with singers Robbie Rosen and Mercedes that he described as "a duet told from two sides of the same story"[9]. He released an acoustic version of the record on May 5, 2021 that FindYourSounds called a "cinematic charm, showcasing the production talents of a versatile artist with untethered creative scope"[10].
