Ross Gene Huguet (born March 9, 1966) is a Canadian voice-over artist. He is best known for his works in advertisements for big companies such as Mercedes Benz, Coca-Cola, Animal Planet, Pepsi, Porsche, IMAX, Red Bull, Tik Tok, LEGO, Budweiser, and many others.[1] He is also known for his work as the narrator of See No Evil.[2]

Early life

Huguet was born in New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada on March 9, 1966. In his Senior year in High School, at Vernon’s Senior Secondary School, he received training at the Columbia Academy of Broadcasting, through a correspondence course.[3]

Career

Huguet started his experience with voice acting recording books for other students of his school when Huguet was in the 3rd grade in 1975. The project was initiated by his teacher on a cassete machine. This progressed to the point that in 9th grade, Huguet would perform the morning and afternoon announcements over the school’s PA system.[3]

By 11th grade, around 1983, Huguet started to volunteer to cover high school basketball games at the radio station CJIB in Vernon, British Columbia. This was his first contact with professional radio. During the same time, he volunteered to be the DJ at Our Heaven Roller Skating, the local roller rink. Both experiences eventually led him to have his own air time presenting a live show in the middle of the night.[3]

From 1995 to 2000 Huguet worked as the account manager and voice actor at 95.3 FM in Vancouver, British Columbia.[3]

In 2001 Huguet built his own in-home studio, where he currently works from.[3]

In 2007 Huguet co-founded the GO2 Productions in Vancouver, British Columbia where he worked as the CEO, producer, and voice actor till 2012.[3]

In 2019 he was awarded the Voicey Awards for best documentary.[4]
