Rosa María Iglesias Barandela (born September 7, 1971) is a Spanish model, preventionist.[1] She has gained recognition for her participation in international beauty pageants. She began her journey in beauty contests in 2016, participating in various national and international events across countries such as Latvia, Portugal, and the Philippines.[2]

Iglesias is the CEO of the Elite Women22 platform, which promotes emerging models and brands. She was the director for Spain, Portugal, and Andorra of the Elite Beauty Queens international pageant.

Early life and education

Barandela was born in Ourense, Galicia, Spain. She holds a diploma in labor relations from the University of Santiago de Compostela. She completed a master’s degree in Occupational Risk Prevention, specializing in Safety at Work, Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics, and Applied Psychosociology, at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. Additionally, she pursued a specialization course in International Cooperation and NGO Management at the University of Coruña.

Career

Barandela began her modeling career in 2016 and has since become a prominent figure in international beauty pageants. In addition to modeling, she has worked as a risk prevention specialist. She serves as the CEO of the Elite Women22 platform, which provides visibility for new talents in modeling and design.

Barandela has walked the runway at New York Fashion Week in 2024, showcasing designs for the UK-based brand Luvforeverfashion. She has also earned a Guinness World Records medal in 2020 for her participation in the World Vision Fashion Show in Madrid.[3]
