Roman Ustymenko (born April 3, 1979) is a Ukrainian entrepreneur known as the founder and CEO of online cosmetic retail brands Crispy.ua and Alfa Beauty Group.[1] In 2023, Ustymenko was honored with the "Great Ukrainian" title and received the "Order of Honor" for his significant contributions to Ukraine's private business and economy from the Presidium of the Assembly of Business Circles and the Council of Experts of the International Image Program "Leaders of the 21st Century."[2][3]
Early life and education
Ustymenko was born and raised in Luhansk, Ukraine, where he received his primary education at School No. 28. He pursued higher education at the Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University, obtaining degrees in economics and law.
In 2014, in response to the ongoing military conflict in Eastern Ukraine, he relocated with his family to Kyiv. In 2022, Ustymenko relocated to New York.
Career
Throughout his university years, Ustymenko established LLC Salon Sveta, providing lighting fixtures and electrical products to factories and enterprises in Eastern Ukraine. Expanding his business portfolio, Ustymenko ventured into the construction and real estate industries, undertaking industrial and office renovation projects.[4][5]
In 2014, following his move to Kyiv, Ustymenko founded Crispy.ua,[6] an online retailer offering Korean cosmetics to wholesale buyers. With a customer base of 20,000 and $2 million in sales, the platform has successfully collaborated with more than 20 skincare and cosmetic suppliers, broadened its product offerings to encompass 3,000 items, and established partnerships with major retail chains and online stores in Ukraine as wholesale clients.[7]
In 2023, upon settling in New York, Ustymenko founded Alfa Beauty Group, introducing alfabeauty.com, an online store specializing in exclusive Korean cosmetics for American business clients. He actively collaborates with South Korean beauty brand suppliers and cultivates relationships with potential wholesale clients in the USA. Notably, Ustymenko has attained exclusive distributorship in the USA for four distinguished Korean cosmetic brands.[8]

Ustymenko lives in Brooklyn, New York, with his wife, Viktoriia Ustymenko, and their two daughters, Marharyta and Uliana Ustymenko.
