Rohana Ulluwishewa (Sinhala language රෝහණ උල්ලුවිස්හේවා) is a Sri Lankan born Assistant Researcher Emeritus at Massey University[1][2][3], winner of the Unpublished Manuscript category for his book called "Spirituality Demystified: Understanding Spirituality in Rational Terms" at the 2015 Mind Body Spirit Literary Awards.[4][2][5][6] Also a finalist at the 2014 International Book Awards[3][7] for his book "Spirituality and Sustainable Development"[8][9] He is currently living in New Zealand.[5][10]

Early life

Dr. Rohana Ulluwishewa was born in Sri Lanka, Bedigama, worked an professor at University of Sri Jayewardenepura|Sri Jayewardenepura University in Sri Lanka.[11][12] He completed his M.Sc. from London School of Economics, London University and PhD from Kyushu University in Japan[11]. He has worked as a consultant for a number of national and international development agencies.[11] [12][13]His works were based on spirituality, science and sustainability[14][3][15][16]and writes with simple language that anyone to understand.[6] Also for the past 30 years of his academic career he has worked as a visiting lecturer at Wageningen University & Research|Wageningen Agricultural University and Leiden University in the Netherlands, and also at University of Leeds|Leeds University, United Kingdom.[11] [17]
