Rodrigo Alarcon (born December 26, 1991) is a Brazilian singer-songwriter, graphic design artist & filmmaker.

"Parte" - EP

He released his first single, O Lado Vazio do Sofa, in November 2015 exclusively on YouTube and it gathered 100 thousand streams in just 24 hours. In 2017 – after having signed a deal with Brazilian record label Taqueta, owned by Pedro Kurtz and Niela Moura – his first EP, "Parte" came along with a studio version of the song, along with 6 other tracks. After releasing the EP, Rodrigo recorded a videoclip for "Amor Acidente"[1], featuring Brazilian artist Liniker.

Apesar de Querer

In 2019, he released the single "Apesar de Querer" along with a self-produced videoclip in Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) highlighted by O Estado de São Paulo, which became his next most popular song, surpassing 25 million streams on DSPs (Spotify, Deezer, Apple, Amazon etc) and YouTube. He participated in many important festivals in Brazil, such as Festival Bananada – where he was considered "ready to star" by Rolling Stone Brazil[2].

International partnerships

Abroad, Rodrigo has participated in many Sofar Sounds internal events and recorded his own participation as well. The partnership was celebrated with an interview at US based The Jetset Times.

Rodrigo has also participated in Sondre Lerche's newest album, released in April 8, 2022, in the track "Will We Ever Comprehend".

"Vazio" – a DVD amidst the pandemic

In 2020, Rodrigo released his first DVD-formatted concert, entitled "Vazio". The concert was recorded during the COVID-19 pandemic at Cine Joia – one of São Paulo's most iconic venues – with no audience whatsoever. "Rodrigo Alarcon is the face of new Brazilian Popular Music. Vazio is symbolic. A quarantined, social distanced DVD, that represents the many voids of 2020" was Pedro Antunes' comment for UOL[3].

Debut album, "Rivo III e a Fé"

In April 2022, Rodrigo will release his first studio album, entitled "Rivo III e a Fé". The first two singles, "Rivotril e a Fé" and "Garota da Linha Azul" were launch in December 2021 and January 2022.
