Roble Regal (born July 8, 1993), is a Canadian-American businessman, and musician. He is the founder and current chief executive officer of Regal Investments.[1]

Early life

Roble Regal was born in Kitchener, Ontario|Kitchener, Canada to Somali immigrants and shortly thereafter moved to the United States, living in the cities of Detroit, Dallas, and Los Angeles before returning to Canada to pursue education.[2][3] Regal graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from Ryerson University and later relocated permanently to New York City. He pursued an MBA from New York University Stern School of Business|NYU Stern but dropped out to assume his position at Regal Investments full-time.

Career

Regal Investments was founded in Toronto|Toronto, Canada in 2015[4] and later relocated its headquarters to New York at One World Trade Center. The investment firm has established branches in London, Dubai, Hong Kong, and Dublin.

In 2017, Regal Investments commenced research and development for Financial technology|fintech software designed to make investment decisions using artificial intelligence and big data. In February 2021, the software completed a late-stage round of testing in which the accuracy of the software reached 94%.[5][6]

In the spring of 2021, Regal Investments was rated a top global firm after successfully implementing the fintech software.[7][8]

Music

In 2015, Roble Regal released a cryptic music video in which the login information for a PayPal account was hidden and accessible to anyone who could solve the riddle.[9] Rap Genius lauded Regal for the initiative, considering his efforts to be revolutionary for hip hop music and marketing.[10]

London incident

In October 2020, Regal was arrested in London, England for assaulting a police officer. He was initially released without charge but the case was later re-opened. A court hearing was hastily scheduled for July 8, 2021, on his 28th birthday, following the re-release of a music video titled PROSPER which discussed the case. A warrant was issued for Roble Regal, but was later withdrawn and the case was adjourned.[11]

Personal life

Philanthropy

Regal has been known to donate to numerous charitable organizations. He is the director of Regal Prosperity[12], a Canadian charity which directs programs dedicated to supporting victims of domestic violence; recognizing and investing in gifted children; offering legal support and rehabilitation to first-time offenders; and helping innovative entrepreneurs establish their businesses.[13][14]

In April 2018, Roble Regal handed out $200,000 in cash to New York's homeless population while dressed as a garbage man.[15]

In July 2021, Regal Prosperity launched a Good Deed Challenge awarding $1 million for acts of kindness displayed on social media.[16]
