Robert Rose is an American business strategy consultant, author, and podcaster.

Author

Robert Rose has authored three books, starting with Managing Content Marketing in 2011, co-authored with [Joe Pulizzi][1], followed by Experiences: The 7th Era of Marketing in 2015, with [Carla Johnson][2], and Killing Marketing, in 2017, again with Joe Pulizzi[3], which won a bronze award in 2018 from Axiom Business Book Awards.[4]

Professional Career and Accolades

In 2002, Robert Rose became Vice President, Marketing and Strategy for CrownPeak Technology,[5] one of the first Software-as-a-Service Web Content Management solutions on the market.[6][7]

In 2011 Robert Rose became Chief Strategy Officer for the Content Marketing Institute,[8] and one of the most notable strategists of the theory of Content Marketing, which has been called a "powerful model for marketing that must convey the companies’ messages or goal to their desired audience without pushing them to just buy the product or service."[9]

Rose has worked as a noted consultant for Fortune 500 companies[10] and in 2015 He was named one of the Top 20 Marketers in Los Angeles.[11]

Also in 2015, Adobe Inc. CMO.com site called Rose one of "Marketing’s 10 biggest Thought Leaders"[12], and in 2016 he was named one of the "Top 50 Marketing Thought Leaders Over 50".[13]

Rose also serves on the DivvyHQ Board of Directors[14] and on the advisory board for Contentgine.[15]

Keynote Speaker and Podcast

Robert Rose Created CMI’s Content Marketing Master Classes with toured the country from 2012 to 2017.[16] and he founded and provides the curriculum for Content Marketing University.[17]

Robert Co-Hosts the podcast "This Old Marketing Podcast" with Joe Pulizzi[18] which has more than 300 episodes and has been downloaded more than two million times in more than 150 different countries.[19]
