He completed his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree at Stetson University. Smith exhibited remarkable leadership skills and a strong aptitude for finance and business management. Following the completion of his undergraduate studies, Smith continued to expand his knowledge and expertise by enrolling in various professional development programs and certification courses. He obtained licenses and certifications in insurance counseling, mortgage brokerage, real estate, securities, and investment advising, solidifying his credentials as a seasoned financial professional.

After suffering severe spinal injuries in a not-at-fault auto accident and faced with the possibility of not being able to walk again, Smith was no longer able to travel and closed his financial advisory offices.
