Rishi Rajani is an Indian-American film and television producer, and the current CEO of Hillman Grad, founded by actor and showrunner, Lena Waithe.

Life and career

During his tenure at Hillman Grad, Rajani’s film producing credits include Netflix’s The 40 Year Old Version and Beauty, Disney+’s Chang Can Dunk, and Focus Features’ A Thousand and One.[1] He produced the HBOMax feature documentary, Being Mary Tyler Moore and is credited as an executive producer on Kokomo City, which won the Sundance Film Festival's NEXT Innovator Award and NEXT Audience Award.[2][3] His television producing credits include Showtime’s The Chi, and BET’s Boomerang and Twenties. His upcoming projects include the feature-length documentary, Gifted and Black for Amazon Studios; Swizz Beats and Timbaland are producing as well.[4]

Prior to joining Hillman Grad, Rajani worked at 20th Century Fox, United Talent Agency, Paradigm Talent Agency, and Studio 8. Rajani is graduate of NYU.[2][5]

One of Rajani’s specialties as a producer is the identifying and supporting of diverse, emerging talent.[5][6]
