Huang Renjun (Chinese: 黄仁俊; born 23 March 2000),[1] known mononymously as Renjun (Hangul: 런쥔), is a Chinese singer based in South Korea. At the age of sixteen, Renjun made his debut as a member of the South Korean boy band NCT through the sub-unit NCT Dream in 2016, which went on to become one of the best-selling boy bands in South Korea.

Early life

Huang Renjun was born in Jilin, China on 23 March 2000.[2] He studied at the Beijing Contemporary Music School, graduating alongside NCT bandmate Chenle in the class of 2020.[3]

Career

2016–present: Debut with NCT and NCT Dream

On August 25, 2016, Renjun began his career as an idol in South Korea by debuting as a member of NCT Dream, a sub-unit of NCT, after being introduced on August 21.[2][4]

Renjun became the main DJ of the radio show Yuedong Seoul on 5 August 2019, which aired from 9 pm to 10 pm KST and was live-streamed on the official TBS eFM 101.3 MHz YouTube channel.[5] His last broadcast was then held on 11 October 2020, where Renjun departed Yuedong Seoul..[6]
