Render Inc. is an American cloud computing company headquartered in San Francisco, California.[1] The company provides platform as a service infrastructure for web applications.[1]
History
Render was founded in 2018 by Anurag Goel and launched its cloud platform in April 2019.[1] In October 2019, the company won the TechCrunch Disrupt Startup Battlefield competition in San Francisco, receiving $100,000 in equity-free funding.[2]
Funding
Render raised $2.25 million in seed funding in April 2019, led by General Catalyst.[1] The company raised an additional $4.5 million in October 2020, also led by General Catalyst.[3]
In November 2021, Render announced a $20 million Series A funding round led by Addition, with participation from General Catalyst and South Park Commons.[4]
In June 2023, the company raised $50 million in Series B funding led by Bessemer Venture Partners, bringing its total funding to $77.5 million.[5] At the time of the Series B, the company reported having 500,000 developers using its platform.[5]
In February 2026, Render raised $100 million in funding at a $1.5 billion valuation.[6]
