Redemption Paws is a Canadian federal Registered Charity.[2][3] dog rescue organization[4][5][6][7] based in Toronto Ontario . They focus on dogs impacted by Natural disaster. climate change and homelessness[8][9][10].

History

The organization was founded by Nicole Simone [11] in 2017 as a result of Hurricane Harvey [12][13][14][15][16][17][18], where they rescued 40 dogs in their first week[19][20]. Since 2017 the organization has adopted out over 1200 dogs.

Redemption Paws is one of the largest foster based rescues in Canada, and currently has no physical shelter[21]

COVID-19

In March of 2020, Redemption Paws was deemed an Essential services and was one of the first rescues to implement contact free rescues, adoptions and foster, paving the way for the future of rescue amongst a global pandemic[22].
