Ranjan Mistry(born 14th March 1996) is an Indian Social Entrepreneur, Thinker, Educationist, Journalist and Researcher.[1][2]

Early Life

Ranjan Mistry was born and brought up to Shri Gopal Sharma and Sudama Devi in Gaya & Patna,Bihar on 14th March, 1996 and raised in a lower middle class family.[3] He hail from Small Village Chakauri Bigha of Tankuppa Block which is surrounded by small hills from all four sides in Gaya, Bihar. The location is so beautiful, but unfortunately known for most Naxal affected areas where there is a school , even not a single teacher willing to stay before 2016.[4] In all, he cleared as many as 10 engineering entrance exams, including that for the NIT Patna,MIT Pune,LNCT Bhopal,Jadavpur University,VIT Vellore and many more, but didn't take admission due to financial problem.[5]

Career

Mr. Mistry started his career as a teacher accidentally by taking tuition when he was in Std. 6th grade for paying my english coaching classes fees. After that, He taught several students and even he took classes to my own classmates in the classes in the lack of teachers in the school.Also, he started taking classes in slum areas with few students of BIT Patna as slum clearance projects.[6]Till now, Mistry has taught more than 10K Students.[7]He also brings education in 10 Naxal affected villages of Gaya by providing teachers regularly for more 2-3 years continuously, after each 2-3 months teachers left the school, then again and again he tried to bring new teacher. In 2016, he emerge as a Social Entrepreneur.[8]

Currently, Ranjan Mistry is one of the youngest Serial Social Entrepreneur and think tank of Bihar known for developing entrepreneurial atmosphere in Bihar.[9] He is the founding member of Patna University Incubation Hub(PUI-Hub),first of it's kinds of Incubation Center cum E-Cell in Bihar at University Level.[10] In 2017, he founded Campus Varta[11],India's first edtech media and discovery platform[12] that enables and connects rural students.[2] In 2018,He founded Womenia Technology Private Limited which has several subsidiaries brands like Womenia Story, Ridek and so on along with Juhi Smita, Mohammad Amanullah and Sanjay Chakravarti. In 2020, Ranjan Mistry founded Women School of Entrepreneurship[13][14] to fuel entrepreneurial spirit into last miles girls & women[15], and re-imagining entrepreneurship education along with Deepti Kiran, Mohammad Amanullah[16], and Juhi Smita.[17][18] In 2021, Ranjan Mistry founded Ridek[19] - Indian womenia ride-sharing online bike,cab,auto taxi aggregator and logistics service provider based out of Patna, India.[20][21]

Ranjan Mistry is the first one from Bihar nominated for Forbes Asia 30 Under 30 as a semifinalist in 2019.[22][1]In 2018, He joined as one the youngest advisory board member of Bihar Mahila Udyog Sangh(BMUS)[23], which empowers women in Bihar, and Nav Astitva Foundation.[24] He is a renowned speaker, visiting faculty, and industry. He has been mentoring more than 150+ Startups across the country.[25]Mr. Mistry Launched a Program Nxt100 in which Mistry will make 100 Entrepreneurs and personally mentor and guide them at free of cost.[26][27][28]

In 2015, Ranjan Mistry Proposed to Open Patna School of Economics in 2015 which later changed their name as Patliputra School of Economics on the line based on London School of Economics and Delhi School of Economics[22].He also proposed and design the Proposal to Open Incubation Center and Entrepreneurship Cell at University Level such as in Patna University, Patliputra University,Purnea University, Magadh University and Central University of South Bihar. In 2019, He proposed to Open Robotics Research Center in Bihar to State Government.[10]
