Ralph Kellogg (born in Nebraska) is an American advocate for the LGBT Community.[1] He is known his story of facing workplace discrimination at a Nebraska financial institution.[2] Kellog was featured by the Nebraska State Capitol, and the American Civil Liberties Union for his activism and efforts to change attitudes in private business.[3] He delivered a TED (conference) talk on this topic in November of 2022.[4][5] Currently, Kellogg serves as the Vice President for People and Training at Lutheranism Family Services in Nebraska. He was also featured in Forbes[6][7] as well as the Society for Human Resources.[8]

Background

Kellogg holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designation from the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI), as well as the Senior Certified Professional (SCP) in Human Resources from the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM). Mr. Kellogg has also earned professional certifications from Cornell University in the areas of Employee Relations and Strategic Human Resources Management. He is also an instructor at Bellevue University, where he teaches Human Resources & Management.[9]

Activism

Kellogg was keynote speaker for McLean and Company on the topic of employee well-being. Kellogg also presented at TEDx, and spoke on the topic of normalizing mental health conversations in the workplace. Kellogg as also spoken at the Nonprofit Association of the Midlands Annual Summit, as well as the Society for Human Resources of Nebraska State Conference Annual Meeting.[10]

Peer Elected Recognition

Kellogg serves on the board of directors for the Tri-Faith Initiative, the ACLU of Nebraska, the Bloc, and the State of Nebraska Alzheimer’s Association. Kellogg also serves as the Co-Chair of the Ideal Committee for the Human Resources Association of the Midlands. The Ideal Committee focuses on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging within for profit and nonprofit organizations.
