Raj Shamani (born July 29, 1997) is an Indian entrepreneur, content creator, author, and public speaker. He is the founder of House of X, a platform that assists creators in launching their own brands, and the host of the podcast "Figuring Out," which focuses on entrepreneurship and personal development. Shamani is recognized for his insights into business, branding, and the creator economy.[1]
Early Life and Education
Shamani was born in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. His family migrated from Rajasthan to Indore in the 1980s in search of better opportunities. He attended National Public School in Indore and later earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Prestige Institute of Management & Research. He also completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from SP Jain Institute of Management & Research in Mumbai.
Career
At the age of 16, Shamani joined his family's business, Shamani Industries, which specialized in chemical trading and soap manufacturing. Facing financial challenges, he began selling dish soaps door-to-door, eventually scaling the business significantly. This experience sparked his interest in entrepreneurship and content creation.[2]
Shamani started sharing his entrepreneurial journey on social media, gaining a substantial following. He founded House of X to empower creators to build and monetize their brands. Additionally, he launched "Figuring Out," a podcast that features discussions with industry leaders and entrepreneurs.[3]
Public Speaking and Recognition
Shamani has delivered over 200 keynote speeches in more than 26 countries, including four TEDx talks. He was the youngest Indian to represent the country at the United Nations' Youth Representative Program for Young Leaders. In 2022, Forbes India included him in its list of Top 100 Digital Stars, ranking him at number 36.[4]
Investments and Publications
As an angel investor, Shamani has invested in several startups, including Classplus, Growth School, Zionverse, Wint Wealth, Deciml, Mainstreet, and Avalon Scenes. He is also the author of the book "Build, Don't Talk," which provides guidance on entrepreneurship and personal branding.[5]
Personal Life
Shamani is unmarried and continues to reside in Indore, where he manages his business ventures and content creation activities.
