Rafa Yeasmin (born 16 February 2009) is an Indian singer-songwriter. She was the 5th runner-up in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li'l Champs 2022.[1][2][3][4] In 2025, the Malda District Police conferred Yeasmin as their Cyber Safety Ambassador.[5][6]

Early life

Yeasmin was born in Malda, West Bengal, India.[7] She began her music training at age of two and a half. She was taught Indian classical music, Rabindra Sangeet, Nazrul Geeti and folk music by several tutors in Malda.[7] In 2020, she got a scholarship from the Shankar Mahadevan Academy for training in Indian classical music.[7]

Career

2018–2021

Yeasmin won the 42nd All India Talent Search and Merit Test Competition, organised by the Sarba Bharatiya Sangeet O Sanskriti Parishad in multiple categories in both 2018 and 2019.[7] In June 2019, Yeasmin made her television debut on Super Singer Junior, which aired on Star Jalsha, finishing in fifth place.[7] In 2020, she participated in Star Plus’s Taare Zameen Par, reaching the Top 11.[8][7]

2022–present

In 2022, Yeasmin participated in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs on Zee TV and became the 5th runner-up.[1][2][3][4][9][10][11] After returning from this show, Yeasmin continued to perform live at multiple public concerts, including a concert at Arijit Singh’s alma mater Sripat Singh College[12][13][14] and at Samannaya 2025, the annual day of Techno India Group World School in Siliguri.[15][16][17][18] In June 2025, she sang the song "Tak Dumadum" for the flim Biporite.[19] She has also released several independent singles, including "Jile Tu Yeh Zindagi" and "Kalar Banshi".

Social work

In October 2025, the Malda District Police conferred Yeasmin as their Cyber Safety Ambassador under a government awareness initiative to lead digital safety campaigns for the society.[5][6]
