Mahvash Amu (born 27 October 1996), professionally known as RJ Mahvash, is an Indian radio jockey, content creator, YouTuber, author, and film producer. She rose to prominence through her witty prank videos, humorous social media presence, and bold on-screen personality.[1][2]

Early Life and Education

Born in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, Mahvash earned a Bachelor’s degree from Aligarh Muslim University and later completed a Master’s in Mass Communication at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. Motivated by her interest in media, she began her broadcasting journey during her final year of college.

Career

Radio and Digital Media

Mahvash launched her career as a radio jockey with Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM, becoming widely known across Delhi NCR for her bold attitude and candid on-air interactions. She gained viral fame after she removed internet personality Deepak Kalal from her studio following his inappropriate remarks.[3]

Following her stint on radio, she transitioned to digital content creation, accumulating a large following on YouTube and Instagram through comedic pranks, skits, and lifestyle videos collaborating with celebrity athletes and influencers.[4]

Film Production and Acting

In 2022, she began producing content under Cinemawala Productions, debuting with the film Section 108, starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui. She made her acting debut in the web series Pyaar Paisa Profit (2025) for Amazon miniTV and MX Player.

Other Ventures

Mahvash ventured into sports ownership in August 2025 by acquiring the Supreme Strikers team in the inaugural Cricket League T10 (CLT10),[5] appointing former Australia cricketer Shaun Marsh[6] as captain.[7][8]

Media Attention and Public Presence

Mahvash came under media spotlight during the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final in Dubai, where she was seen with cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal. While dating rumours circulated, both parties clarified they are friends and denied any romantic involvement.[9]

In May 2025, following an IPL match finale, Mahvash penned an emotional tribute to Chahal, revealing he played through multiple fractures and expressing admiration and support, sparking renewed conversation about their public bond.[10]
