Punawa is a small village of 341 hectares in Sirohi Tehsil in Sirohi district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Punawa depends on SIROHI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 56.00% of the total supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Punawa is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Punawa's pin code is 307512[4], and village code is 02356900. The area of Punawa is segregated as 126 hectares irrigated area, 51 hectares unirrigated, the 120 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 44 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Sirohi to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
