Pulse Nigeria an Online newspaper covering current affairs, entertainment, sports and lifestyle. It is based in Lagos, Nigeria.
History and profile
Pulse Nigeria was started in 2012 as part of Ringier investment in media in Africa. The company's leadership with founder Leonard Stiegeler developed the Pulse media platform to be a youth-focused, mass media publication present on its own web and social media channels.
In addition, Pulse Nigeria spearheaded the development of digital news video in Africa under the brand Pulse TV.
Its Pulse Network includes the Business Insider Africa license[1]. From 2020 it is running Business Insider Africa as a pan-African publication[2].
Its commercial video production and creative brand studio runs under the brand Pulse Studio and its marketing arm is Pulse Marketing. With Pulse Products, Pulse offers media-enabled products to the market.
Online Media
According to Socialbakers, Pulse Nigeria's Instagram page ranks as the sixth most interactive news page worldwide[3]. With a total of 35.9 million interactions and 1.8 million followers, Pulse is the only African news media channel to appear on this list.
Additionally, Pulse Nigeria's YouTube channel ranks eighth[4] for total views in Nigeria.
